Bodegas Escudero is a family-owned winery with a rich history dating back to 1852 in the Rioja region of Spain. Situated in the southwestern corner of Rioja Baja, near Grávalos, the Escudero family has been crafting wines for four generations, evolving from a small “bodega” into a significant producer. They are also notable for being pioneers in the production of Cava within Rioja. With a focus on their estate vineyards, some over a century old, Bodegas Escudero produces a range of Rioja wines, often featuring Tempranillo, Garnacha, and Mazuelo, alongside their traditional method sparkling wines. These wines aim to express the unique terroir of their high-altitude vineyards, delivering both classic Rioja character and a distinctive freshness.
